Maserati

The famous car company in Italy under the name Maserati was founded in 1914 by two brothers, giving the new company its name. The first name was "Officine Alfieri Maserati", and the company itself produced cars, engines and spark plugs.

A major recognition of the new company happened in 1926, when model Maserati Gran Prix 1500 was launched in production. It is known that on its hood was installed stylized trident, who later became the emblem of the company. Three years later the Maserati Tipo V4, controlled by racer Bakonin Borzacchini, set the speed record. In 1954 already another car - Maserati 250F has won first place in the Formula 1 races in Argentina. The success persecutes Maserati till late sixties. After the purchase in 1996 of the brand Maserati by Fiat Auto SpA organization was the debut of model Quattroporte IV Evoluzione, which are harvested by hand and therefore have unsurpassed quality. In 1997 Maserati owners are changing again and it comes under the jurisdiction of the company Ferrari. There is a modernization of production facilities and in 1998 appeared a model Maserati 3200 GT. Today Maserati intend to produce sport luxury cars.
